Peer Post
When I first started my position as Peer Advisor Coordinator/Academic Advisor, I knew that one of my biggest challenges would be to communicate with my Peer Advisors. I decided that a newsletter would be a good way to communicate with them weekly. I quickly found out that this was going to be an inefficient way for me to communicate with my paraprofessionals. However, I thought that a newsletter would be a great way for the Peer Advisors to communicate with the College of Business students about important topics and events. The Peer Post newsletter has been created by the Peer Advisors each semester since Fall 2008. The Peer Post is emailed to all College of Business students and it is posted on the Business Advising Center website. The Peer Post is a Leadership Education And Development (LEAD) activity that helps the Peer Advisors work on transferable skills: written communication, teamwork, research, and editing.
